How to become an influencer

How to become an influencer [tips & tricks!]

Brands spent close to 6 billion on influencer marketing in 2018. This amount will increase to 8 billion this year. You probably didn’t know the exact numbers but influencer marketing is still rising in popularity. It is a very lucrative way for both people and brands to earn money.

Hence why so many people try to become an influencer and hence why we receive emails every day of people who try to become one. They think becoming an influencer is the way to earn quick money and become a celebrity.

However, it is not that easy. It will cost you a lot of time and effort unless you’re already famous. Nevertheless, this doesn’t mean it’s not possible. We’ve got you covered, read on and we will provide you with some tips and tricks.

Niche picking

Pick a niche that’s fits your personality. Is there something you’re passionate about, something you can’t stop talking about to your friends? Something you’re more knowledgeable about than the majority of people? If you and your niche are a mismatch people will notice, and nobody likes fake 😉 right?

Next to this, you will spend a lot of time researching your niche, posting content about your chosen niche. It helps if you like it.

It is possible to pick a couple of niches, but make sure they’re a good combination. That it makes sense.

Pay attention to your bio

Now that you’ve chosen your niche (congratulations on that ;)) it is time to write a bio that’s worth reading. Why? Because it is one of the first things potential followers & potential partners see. Far too often we see influencers that didn’t pay any attention to their bio, which makes us think they’re not very professional. If you’re not the best at writing an attention-grabbing bio, ask for help.

It’s all about your story

If you think being an influencer is mainly about sharing photos, think again. Captions are as important as your photos, your followers want to get to know you. To them, you’re a friend, a family member, even. They want to connect on an emotional level. Share personal stories, be authentic, be genuine. That’s the only way you will succeed.
